TESDA Computer Systems Servicing (CSS) NC II Practice Exam

The two main types of computer networks can indeed be categorized based on how they transmit data, and the distinction between wired and wireless networks is fundamental. Wired networks use physical cables to connect devices, ensuring stable and high-speed connections, often seen in environments requiring robust data transfer, such as offices or data centers. Conversely, wireless networks provide flexibility and mobility by transmitting data over radio waves, which makes them suitable for personal devices and areas where installation of cables is impractical.

By understanding these two types, one can appreciate the advantages and limitations of each network type, guiding decisions on which to implement based on specific needs such as performance, cost, and usability in various situations. This foundational knowledge of network types serves as an essential step for anyone studying or working within the field of computer systems servicing.
